rfcjoe Again, I played with these lads who were taken, and the others taken from us were, George Saville, and Brendan's son, Anton.

Does BR have a son called Anton? (or whoosh as appropriate)

Bit like his Dads management career his season only runs from May to December!!!

I missed that originally - hilarity bump for effect.

Sounds like an encouraging performance from Obita - does anyone know how he's been getting on for the reserves / u18s this season?

Give the kid some pitch time. It can't be much of a gamble when we play the ever inconsistant Brian Howard most weeks. This lad will be a big big player one day.

Yes, he is. However he has possibilities to play as the advanced midfielder which is a position the duck has singularly failed in on the times he's been played there. However it's probably unfair to pick on the duck specifically in this instance.

He's only 16. No point putting him in yet. Give him until March in the academy, get him out on loan for the last couple of months, then see how he shapes up in training next pre-season.

Highlights of this game against poland are on the FA website, the goal he scored was a fairly clinical one on with the keeper and the one he setup was a very low bending cross (basically along the ground), I can't help but think the Polish defending could have been better but he was very composed. Encouraging signs for a 16 year old.

Let's just hope a becomes a great player.

Then Madejski can be really upset to have to sell him for millions and pocket the difference.

Yep, sell him for 5-6 million and claim we've been in debt for the last couple of years to shut the moaners up.
