Thats another opposition team in administration to look forward to next season. I count 4 so far - Pompey, Hull, Cardiff, Palace. Any more?

Promotion by default it is then.

Could it be that this is the opportunity for a reunion - a Hunt - Coppell reunion.

They could re-live the last three months of 2007-08 together - it'll be the same result.

I like short priced 25/1 favourites, Coppell is the money this morning, but then he was when Brown was allegedly sacked last year, i think Jewell will get it.

I think Brownie has been unlucky to lose his job after 6 wins in 52 games.

Lol at Ian Dowie and Mego being the front runners for the job. combine that with the appointment of Lawso at Burnley and you just wonder what planet some Chairman live on.

The sad part is because of Portsmouth's "situation", Hull imploding and the genius appointment of Brian Laws by Burnley, a piss poor Wolves side are likely to escape relegation by default.

i'm confused to how he has stayed in the job this long

I read somewhere that Hull are 14m in debt and the Bullard deal has cost them 14m. although if he stays fit they may well stay up

As a Hull fan said on another site: "This must be what's known as a lose/lose appointment......if it comes off, we've got Iain Dowie as a manager, if it doesn't we go down."

And there's more

The Daily Mash HULL City chairman Adam Pearson is to follow up his appointment of Iain Dowie as manager by burning the stadium to the ground and salting the pitch.
