Bit of cover for Jimmy?

Hold my hands up, never thought in the summer I'd dismiss the chance of signing Smith, but there no posistion he'd get in the side, whatever formation we play.

Pompey sign striker.

Striker doesn't play.

Striker then plays and scores.

Pompey loan striker.

Remind me why they're in trouble again?

Sounds like total bullshit.

He's already played for Watford and Pompey this season - so he's going nowhere.

Hadn't Shorey played for both Villa and Nottingham Forest this season before moving to Fulham??

Yep and Khiziwhathisname played for Newcastle and Blackburn. You can only sign for 2 clubs. You can play on loan at more.

I reckon it is quite likely that Pimpey will pimp out a squad player for the rest of the season to save on wages.

Probably under the proviso that if any of their FA Cup team...sorry, core team do not suffer any injuries between now and the FA Cup semi-final, they can recall him.

FA claim emergency loans don't count. This would be an emergency loan.

No great desire to see Smith come here.

In what way would this be an emergency loan?

Muskrat In what way would this be an emergency loan?

In the way that it would fall in to the FA's description of an emergency loan.......(basically it isn't a long term loan becuase it is under 93 days)

Nice to see some opposition to signing Smith here. Despite scoring well last season, Smith's overall record shows that he's not a consistent goalscorer--and we have enough players like that already. I hope those supporters who insisted that we should have overpaid for him last summer now realise that Reading's estimate of his worth was more accurate than that of Watford or Portsmouth, neither of whom know the value of money or players.
