exileinleeds Mancini has been charged with inappropriate handbags, Moyes has had a letter to remind him of his obligations.
FA clearly not up for a rumble with Masher Moyes.
Dear David
We are in receipt of the referee's report in relation to the Premier League match on 24th March 2010. The report specifically mentions an incident in the 85th minute of the game when, as the ball left the field of play, you did pick up the ball and retain posession of said ball for more than the 1.5 seconds as specified in the Premier League Managers Conduct Agreement, section 23, sub-section 4, item 6.
The report further indicates that you were subsequently attacked by a third party.
May we remind you of your obligations under the said agreement, as follows :
1. Picking up of the ball, and it's retention, is only allowed if you are winning the game (as we note that you were), but is also a privilege available only to managers of teams in the top 4 of the Premier League table on the date of the match.
2. When accosted by the manager of an opposition team, it is mandatory that the attack is returned in order to maintain the highest profile of incident for the Premier League
3. In the circumstances, you should have been aware that the person involved was wearing a stupid, ill-fitting scarf, and this should have been used to exacerbate the situation by pulling it tight round his neck and hanging him from the nearest available point. This is in pursuance of the agreement as above, section 27, sub-section 2, item 3 (props)
However, in view of your previous behaviour, and taking into account the fact that you are clearly harder than any of us, please accept our apologies that you were forced to walk all the way to the tunnel five minutes before you were due to do so anyway.
In an attempt to rectify the issue, we have made both Howard Webb and Peter Walton available as free-kick wall dummies for your training sessions for the rest of the season.
Yours meekly
Richard Scudamore
