Coventry kick-off time

by SWLR » 26 Mar 2010 09:55

My fixture list/ old programmes says 8pm kick-off.

Official website 3pm. I assume they are not wrong, has it been moved?

Need to plan if taking little SWRL

I guess when they printed the program/fixture list you have they never realised that game was easter monday. They would have thought it was a regular Monday when we all work and assumed it was an 8pm kick off.

would have to be a slight idiot to think it was a normal Monday, there is only one or two Monday games in a season that are in the original fixture list, easter, August BH, and Xmas depending how it falls.

well seeing as the fixture has never been moved, and is at 3pm on easter monday they must be a slight idiot then!

the person that put the copy together at the production company may not even be a football fan, i bet they were just told ... weekgames 8pm, saturdays 3pm

TBF, the BBC website had it at 8pm for quite a while after the fixtures came out....

Well I checked in the WBA cup programme this morning as I left the house - as it sat in the recycle box!.

This is almost certainly what's happened. Idiocy in the person briefing the production company and very remiss not to check the fixture list once published. The whole thing just smacks of shoddy amateurism.

I'm mean honestly, what kind of show are they running at the Mad Stad? At times it better resembles a circus than a football club.

TBH the company that produces the programs will have very little realtionship to the club. I doubt we produce them ourselves. They'll produce programs for many otehr teams, no doubt those at home on easter Monday had similar problems.

That is not to say someone shouldn't check the copy of every program before production but I doubt it is scrutinised that closely months in advance.

Indeed, looking at the fixtures table/player list it still has us playing in some 4-3-3 :D

Doesn't John Madejski's printing company do them?

Can't see him selecting a rival firm over one of his own.

Quality performance. Nearly fell asleep in the second half though.

I think it was me that was nattering. Not in the Second half though. Was mostly laughing at our awful excuse for chants.
