TBM
floyd__streete Well done Roy Hodgson, not bad for an owl.

Brentford (for having a pub on each corner) > Fulham > QPR > Chelsea.

Only 3 pubs now :(

:?

There was 4 last time I looked (last Saturday) I was in two of them....

Last night's result was horrible. Could olny have been worse if it had been the scum from the bush or another team in hoops......

RG30 Benfica will beat Liverpool, Angel De Maria will have a field day.

Would prefer Liverpool to beat Benfica and then lose in the semis to Benitez' old club Valencia just to compound his misery

Liverpool leading 1-0 but have to play the remaining 60 mins with 10 men after babel was sent off for raising his hands

Babel has been nothing more than an utter disgrace in a Liverpool shirt. Tonight's sending off proved that. Fair play to the 'Pool though, still playing well with only ten men. Really enjoyable game.

Why are the officials bad again? The red card may have been one of the only right decisions, too bad it wouldn't have happened if they had sent off the guy who fouled torres for coming straight through his back with no attempt at the ball.

I didn't see it --with a choice of any of the four, I'm watching Fulham (who, as anyone who cares knows, erased Wolfsburg's away goals edge and took a 3-1 lead on aggreg8 thru Zamora on 29 ridiculous seconds or whatever)-- but by definition, the first touch from a corner can't be offside, right?

Aw jeeziss two-nil now

Here's hoping the 'Guese pull off what the "Germans" did last nite in Mancs

Best explanation I've heard for the offside not given is the suggestion that the lino thought that he saw Kyrgiakos get a touch before Kuyt headed home, but the corner reached the latter clean; legit goal all the way

Get'n a bit ugly in Belgium --just watched detailed highlights from all angles, and wait'll you see Mladen Petric score with an overhead kick for Hamburg-- but one of the linos got bombarded with cigarette lighters for whatever reason, and there was some aggro in the Standard area that elicited the flinging of projectiles from the crowd (the majority of whom ain't at all happy with their boys down 1-2 on the nite and 2-4 on agg)

I'm discounting a Bayern-esque comeback by Benfica so fingers crossed that Fulham and Hamburg can hold on and that Valencia can nick a goal - would mean that 3 of the 4 semi finalists actually started in the Europa league and aren't CL dropouts.
