Low-scoring Swansea

by Skyline » 14 Apr 2010 09:41

One for the stattos out there. Could Swansea be the lowest-scoring team to qualify for the playoffs? 37 goals from 43 games would normally be lower-table (if not relegation form), yet they've got 65 points in 6th place. 16 wins as well - must be a lot of 1-0s in that little lot.

Without doubt yes.

Id say in terms of match goals, Swansea games are as low scoring you likely to se in English Football.

According to the Racing Post stats, prior to their 5-1 loss at Blackpool, they had 19 consecutive matches that featured 2 goals or less.

This could be quite good for our very slim play-off chances. :?
