Agbonlahor could still have very easily have caught that ball and scored the goal or played it across the box, nothing controversial about that penalty being given for me. He may have touched the ball, but by no means was it played out of Agbonlahors reach. In which case it's a foul for the secondary action of taking the player out, whether there was intent or not.

Also if you watch the replay from the refs angle, the ball barely moves... at that pace it's pretty much impossible for him to have seen the contact on the ball.

Stonewall pen at full pelt in a game environment - absolutely no ref could have seen that he got a touch on the ball. Even on the replay's it's only the camera shot from directly behind the goal that shows the touch - only the Europa League style official could have seen that touch.

It's always the same way - ref gets the stick after giving the only decision he could possibly give from his angle. Either accept that's the way it is or let him see the other 10 angles before giving his decision.

Radio 5 live said that everyone in the media centre thought it was the correct decision.

Not only that, even if you disagree, 9/10 refs would have made the same decision.

And of course, it was the Refs fault that Birmingham scored Nil.

was creaming myself

as for the Johnson challenge - isn't it about time footballers get the taught the rules of the game? the tiniest nick doesn't change the fact that it'd have been a foul anywhere else on the pitch and he cleaned him out, when he'd still have been in a goalscoring position

the ref did get it wrong, but at full speed, you can see why. I've seen much worse given.

Forgot about this game tonight. I really want it to come down to the Wednesday Palace match on the final day. Shenanigans!

Would agree with that if it wasn't for the fact i'll be watching a pointless game against Preston instead of that.

Yet to be announced, but the Wednesday game should be the live lunchtime kick off on Sky.

So, down to the final day it is for the final relegation place! And CP had that shot cleared off the line in the last minute!!!!

What a brilliant game. Dorrans is a good player, but a total sh*t. Chances galore and good goalkeeping by Speroni. I like watching WBA play, but they have no chance of staying up next season with dross like Bednar up front.

What was Palace's goal like?

according to the beeb Palace went 1-0 up when 'West Brom's Steven Reid sliced a free-kick into his own net.'

Free kick, he didn't even slice it, just hit him and went in.

Thought we were going to finish below Palace, also thought that administration would not do Palace in.
Actually I was told that.

Much as I loath Palace, I'd like them to stay up since Selhurst is always a good away trip (and local for me). That said, I hear they may have to move from there...

If Charlton were promoted it would mean two tasty games between them.
