No idea about his 5 live presenting but I used to enjoy his Radio 1 show.

I'm going to stick my neck out here and say I quite like Murray as a presenter and find him pretty funny on FT.

I quite like him on channel 5, it's the format and guests that drags it down for me.

6ft Kerplunk CoLolin Murray. Seriously BBC get a fvcking grip, he's the cheap option for a reason.

Celebrity > Skillz as usual. He's okay but nothing special.

I very much doubt he is the cheap option BTW

Asprilla and Zola playing up front together is where it was at. Would be very grateful if somone can find the goal where Asprilla was about 30 yards out the ball was punted up field, dropped over his shoulder and he just twatted it in on the volley.

Agreed - don't forget tubby Brolin alongside them both. My fave from that team was Fernando Couto, only an early iteration of Gary Speed had a better mullet.

Don't think thats the goal I'm thinking off. Although I'm starting to think I've imagined it as I can't find it anywhere. Was sure he just hit it first time.

The one you're thinking of was pretty similar but from further out and hit first time?

Don't worry, you're not imagining it  I can't find it either

Yep, pretty sure it was just a punt up field that dropped over his shoulder and he just belted it. Route one with style.

Stranded Don't think he's actually that bad but I'm probably in the minority - he's decent on Fighting Talk on Five Live anyway.

Yeah I agree. More personality than that bland Jake F1 bloke.

That goal is absolute quality, I'd forgotten just how good it was. Tino was one hell of a player before it went tits up.

He has the potential, I think, but I can't oxf*rd stand his style on 5live (fighting talk not included). He just starts having random converations and in jokes with poeple in the studio. BE PROFESSIONAL M8.

The funny thing about James Richardson was that he knew next to bugger all about football and only got the job on Football Italia because Channel 4 wanted someone cheap who could speak Italian. The budget for Football Italia was tiny but this allowed Richardson to have a fair amount of editorial freedom. Particularly with Gazzetta, it was his show and he devised the formula and he had the wit and intellegence to make a great show. He wouldn't have that freedom at the BBC.
