season ticket benefits

whats the point? how many people actually bothered to use any of them? £1 off in the concourse if you spend five pounds, and had to be used in a two week window, wow just wow!I'm surprised the staff weren't fighting people off with a shitty stick due to the mad rush descending on the counters

It's a 20% discount....

Would be interesting to know waht the take up was but to sneer at it seems a bit pointless. Personally I never use the concourse caters but there are loads of people eating and drinking before the game, a large % of them STH so hardly a 'useless' offer, even if not one you personally would use.

I thought that imposing a pre 2.30pm restriction on the the £1 voucher was a bit of a cheek and I could not use it but I did use the £10 voucher in the shop which gave me a generous one third reduction on a £30 spend which was very welcome. So well done to the club for that.

Only a 20% discount if you spent £5.00

As recent 'STH benefits' go I thought it was laughable. Especially as I got to the bar at 2.35pm and was refused my £1 off.

you may have thought it was laughable, it was one of the few benefits i have been able to use!

i don't live in reading, i dont't spend £50+ on waitrose every week, i never won a bottle of champagne ....

i was able to get £1 off my bovril last week.

What Waitrose voucher? Is this the one that was sent out at the beginning of the season or have the club sent another one out?

One was sent out recently - I think it was for discount off Waitros At Home deliveries - you needed three of them to get the full discount.

Sorry but that is just nonsense.

Frankly, I don't give a sh*t about the poxy pound on offer but if they are sufficiently mean spirited to deny it to anyone who has the temerity to turn up after 2.30 they shouldn't have bothered........................what would it ACTUALLY cost the club to give a supporter a free tea or coffee etc?

And if that would really prove too expensive why not just keep the poxy quid and invest in some extra staff on that day so fans don't have to miss part of the match they pay for sometimes a year in advance just to ensure they get some half time refreshment?

The Waitrose offer will be well worth having for those who take full advantage but the one for the concourse really is a joke.

I suspect the 2.30 bit was to avoid a long HNA thread complaining that becasue 10,000 people all decided to get their discount at 2.45 someone missed the kick off....

Don;t think employing extra people for one game would make much difference, there isn't room in most of the serveries to shoehorn in extra untrained staff and from what I know it's not easy to recruit people for half an hour's work.

I also suspect those people who did take advantage of the offer would find it odd that someone thinks they shouldn;t have been able to just becasue the time scales didn;t fit their personal requirements.

Sorry to have to point out some practicalities.
