I always rated Zamora when he used to play for Brighton against us. Apart from pace he`s got the lot and sort of plays like a left footed Lee Nogan. Someone usually comes from nowhere to make the World Cup squad, this time it should be him.

RoyalChicagoFC Best explanation I've heard for the offside not given is the suggestion that the lino thought that he saw Kyrgiakos get a touch before Kuyt headed home, but the corner reached the latter clean; legit goal all the way

The way I saw it was the lino thought Kyrgiakos got a touch so flagged, as he's micced up he's told the ref that's what he's seen. Ref says, I had a better view of Kyriakos an he didn't touch it, goal stands. (Probably checked with the extra goal line official too.) The only people that couldn't understand this were the people being paid to tell us what was happening. It really is about time that some kind of exam course was bought in that commentators/pundits have to pass before they're allowed to spout nonsense to the nation.

Toughest possible semi for Fulham I think, having to beat the team who will host the final to get to the final.

Second Leg at the Cottage and after what they did to Juve there I think they'll be fine tbf.

Maybe but you can't underestimate how fired up Hamburg will be to be in a European final at home - this is the toughest test they will have had to date.

Fulham now have to be favourites to get to the final, with a second leg at home. Absolutely remarkable turnaround since Hodgson took charge. Since they cosigned us to relegation, which we derserved and they didn't, they just seem to have kicked on and on, with a side with no superstars, and without spending silly money. Makes me feel that it could so easily have been us, if our players had controlled their egos and just got on with their jobs- I really hope they win it now, would be a fine advert to show that money is not the be all and end all of sucess, and what a talented manager with a humble and committed bunch of players can achieve.

Would say that Hamburg are actually favourites if you bear in mind they have the benefit of away goals to come

Given the european results this week, you have to think that on the face of it playing away in the first leg has been a huge disadvantage? Maybe UEFA need to insist next week's away teams aren't allowed to fly?

Hamburg have called a crisis meeting with their head coach only three days before the second leg of their Europa League semi-final against Fulham. It is thought that Bruno Labbadia's future could be under threat after a 5-1 defeat away to Hoffenheim plunged the club to a new low in a poor season for them domestically.

Not sure if they bothered with the meeting, as he's already been sacked this morning.

Oops, posted this news in European Leagues without looking at this. I'd rather face HSV with Labbadia than without, to be honest. He seems to be a good coach for half of each season, but lost the team's respect in a serious way over the past few months.

I do want Fulham to do well - Roy Hodgson's a great coach and I can't find anything to hate about them, but I can't help but watch their progress through a slightly sad tint. Perhaps we'd have gone down a season later had we stayed up in 08, but I still think it could've been us had Murphy not scored...
