TBM
Silver Fox Channel 5 chap answered my question, seems they still coiunt double and I know the Liverpool h8rs will disagree but it seems harsh, especially as Forlan just scored

But if they didn't count after extra time then the home team gains the advantage of having an extra half hour to score in their own ground with 40,000 fans behind them

Yeah it kind of cancels out. And since when did away goals "count double"? :| . Anyway, the rule should be binned. Makes no sense in todays football, it was brought in in the 60s when travelling away was a completely different proposition.

Whilst I'm glad Madrid got through - a Europa league final between two mid table Prem teams would be the dullest thing ever - I have to agree that away goals counting in extra time is the stupidest thing ever.

I'm not sure that 30 mins extra of home advantage really makes that much difference when the opposition have just played 90 mins in that atmosphere.

They should either go straight to pens or class the 30 mins extra as a new tie - if you win you go through, any draw = pens.

LOLiverpooLOL. I'm sure their end of season DVD will be a big seller

Well done to Fulham, 2 very good goals in the game. The opener from Hamburg was a beaut and Davies' was a wonderful bit of skill.

Because the premier league is 3rd in the fair play league, The team highest in the fair play league of the premiership gets the spot.

The only team above Burnley in the fair play table that hasn't qualified for Europe already is Fulham.

So if Fulham win the final, they will qualify for the Europa League, meaning next down the list of the fair play table gets the place.

Indeed.

The only teams above them are Fulham, Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester United and Chelsea.

The 4 latter all pretty much guaranteed to qualify for Europe.

I've got a friend who's a Fulham fan living in Melbourne for a year. Feel a bit sorry for him, he's held a season ticket for years and this is the only year in the foreseeable future when he'll be abroad. Sod's law of the highest. However, he's decided to oxf*rd common sense and has his ticket to Hamburg for the final. Dedication.
