No. Annual salary paid monthly like any other job, the weekly quotes are the way newspapers traditionally reported it as their readers were not of the required intelligence level to comprehend a large annual salary.

Dirk Gently All agents and players (and therefore managers and CEOs too), talk and think about weekly salary - that's the unit they use.
It might be paid monthly, but that's irrelevant. No-one in football talks about an annual salary.
