Stranded
FiNeRaIn
Stranded Bigger potential audience on a Saturday evening.

You sure about that? most people go out on a saturday night. Most people are relaxing after work on a wednesday.

Didn't say bigger potential UK audience - opens up the US TV market.

It's actually for the far east market - means they don't have to worry about work the next day having stayed up to 3am in the morning to watch it.

From a Western Europe perspective, as much as you might think Weds eve would get the higher figures, Sat night is still the primetime slot, and will deliver bigger audiences. You can always go out after the match finishes - people will plan evenings around it if they are that way inclined.

I am caught in the rather strange German thing of supporting any German team in Europe regardless of how much you dislike them throughout the domestic season. The front page headline of Bild today (I saw it, I didn't buy) was 'Today, we are all Bayern'.

I really don't like Bayern, but cmonbayern!

Germany currently leads Italy in the UEFA coefficients by 0.155 points. If Inter do not beat Bayern tonight then Italy loses it's 4th CL spot from the 2011/12 season

I'm not enjoying this. I'd forgotten what old style European football was like.

I quite enjoyed it, but I would quite enjoy Villa v Man City and it about the same level. Mourinho is God.

I have to say that I absolutely hated it that a manager dominated a final so much. I don't know if it was just the German coverage but the 15 minutes after the game of José walking around was just too much for me. There were thousands of Inter fans in the stadium and a squad of players going ballistic but all I saw on TV was the trainer. F#ck Milito, f#ck the fans - puppets on a string to the special one. He is a special one but this victory was more than just him.

I think.

Puppets? I'd be quite happy to be a puppet and love a manager who won my side the European Cup on top of league and cup honours in one season. Get over your sour grapes, Mourinho is excellent for the game and a joy to watch.

Greed. Even when Inter lifted the trophy Tyldesley said "Jose Mourinho's Inter win the Champions League". Some perspective please.

no; it was the same coverage on ITV/Sky.

I understand your anger, but he is "a character", and one that I cannot help liking. I preferred shots of him, kissing his son etc  , to random Argentinian footballers jumping up and down with the trophy.

I admit I fell for the hype, it was very much Mourinho v Bayern in my mind. I'll probably take an interest in Real Madrid now, too.

Harmless stuff.

Over reaction somewhat. Thought the balance was about right and the fact that the best football manager in the works was literally resigning from his post in front of our eyes is going to grab the attention.

He is now only the third manager to win this with 2 clubs...at the age of about 47 with the Real job next. This guy will win it again....and again.
