Am I imagining it, or did he briefly play for the club? Or is that a different Pellegrini?

The pictures of self pitying scousers burning American flags really cracked me up. Like that is going to achieve anything!

A Pellegrini did play for the scousers. He was shocking.

Ah. Mauricio Pelligrino, former defender, and still at Liverpool as a coach.

If Rafa goes to Inter he needs to accept a few clauses according to Reuters

1.He has limited involvement in the market, majority of the work will be done by the Sporting Director.
2.He needs to cut down on his 11 assistants.
3.Termination clause if he fails to win serie a,european super cup and the world club championship.

Without doubting that Inter are a huge club that most managers would want on their CV, I don't see the attraction in joining a club that has just won the league and European Cup double; outside of beating a couple of random South American teams in the World Club Championship, the only way is down, shirley?

I think he would be daft to take on the Inter job. How do you improve on what JM did while he was there? He would be better off going to a club with the stature of Valencia and reproducing the success that he brought to that club.

I wonder how LOLiveROFLpooLOL feel now about giving RB such a long contract?

+1.

He was such an overrated manager and the board made such a boob in giving him a 4 year extension.

Perhaps, but the fact that they only have to pay him £3M rather than his contracted £16M means that it's really the equivalent of offering him a 1.75 year extension rather than 5 years....

Guy at work has got a nice £3500 pay off for this.

He laid £20 down last year that Hughes wouldn't make Christmas and Rafa would be gone by the start of 10/11 season.... 175-1

Not a bad bet!!

175-1? Either he had more than £20 on it or he bet with the world worst, and soon to be bankrupt, bookie. 13/1 on each? no chance.

havoc

leww_rfc Still love the fact Reading helped add to liverpool's poor season without a trophy. 8)

What a goal to win it.

What gets me everytime with that goal is Gunnarsson's turn and then nutmeg. What a sweet teasing cross for Long! :D
