Matthew Upson and Ledley King miss training. David James and Michael Dawson involved.

according to SSN, maybe something, prolly just all helping Dawson unpack.

Not at all disappointed that Ferdinand misses out. He hasn't been any where near as reliable as he was two seasons plus back.
That is one very weak and fragile squad, with or without him though. Hype up our chances all you like, but we'll do well to reach the 1/4's.

I think this playing down England's chances is a good thing. I think we may do well. Look at Italy with that old squad they had in 2006. I'm tipping us for the semis.

:?:

Euro 2004 vs France. This guy put in the best defensive performance I've ever seen live and if he's anywhere near that form...

why all these anti England snobbery??
do well to reach the 1/4's?
a probabale 2nd round game against Australia will see us into the 1/4's with ease.

England - Spain final.
I've put money on it.

ledley king is head and shoulders the best central defender that england could call on.his legs are a different matter, but his ability is beyond question.

and how many times do you seee him conceed free kicks in dangerous areas due to reckless or ill timed challenges?...have you ever seen him give away a penalty?....or get sent off?....one quiet game in a contest mattering diddly squat is no cause for concern...what is more worrying is john terry's "baby" act with his hands every time a ball comes near his fizzog...

Royalee and I agree. Ian that is complete rubbish! Ferdinand has been pants and injured this year. Makes mistakes all the time and has been reading the game badly. King has been the best defender in the premiership all year. It's only his injuries which hold him back.

Unless that's what you were worried about :|

Is this the proper thread for a little smack-talk? The pressure you lot put on the England team is sure to make them fold up like origami. My advice is to stick a lump of coal up the bums of your starting XI so they all can shit out a diamond after they lose to the good old US of A come Saturday.

Over to you boys...

I see my fishing attempt has gone over like a soggy biscuit. It must mean you all agree with me. Very good then, carry on. Good luck on Saturday and may the 2nd best team win.

 We're just too confident

Id say a comfortable England victory is on the cards. I think people are being overly cautious by overstating the US threat (donovan and dempsey are good, but maybe not quite up to scratch internationally).

waddya think yankee?
