South Africa v Uruguay

by Compo's Hat » 16 Jun 2010 00:26

I'm looking forward to these second round of group games starting, some teams will have to throw caution out the window!

Think Uruguay might nick this and silence those vuvuzelas. Mexico were a poor side and South Africa might get found out at the back against the Uruguay strikeforce.

0-1

I'd like to see the host nation do well. I'm not doing a score prediction cos I'm shite at them.

Trying to work while watching the footie... not going well
"The study of multidrug resistance (MDR) in tumor..." what sort of national anthem...
"cell lines has led to the discovery of the plasma membrane" .... is this. I mean...
"P-glycoprotein (Pgp) molecule. This protein".... who wrote it? ...
"functions as an energy-dependent pump for the efflux" .... and who thought it would make....
"of diverse anticancer drugs from MDR cells. It now" .... a good anthem....
"appears that Pgp-mediated MDR tumor cells do occur" ... now the SAfricans know...
"in human cancers, and that they are likely to play a" ... how to write a rousing tune...
"role in the ultimate response of patients to chemotherapy." ... what was I reading?

 But interesting too as it reminds me of the course in cancers I did last year. I didn't have the happy distraction of the world cup sadly.

Tshabalala, what a great name!

Caught me by surprise. Thought it was going over the bar like most of the others in this tournament.

You're-a-gay looking pretty comfortable in this one so far. Perhaps Tshababababalalabadingdong will do the business again second half.

South Africa just too ponderous and nothing upfront.

Mpela is just being totally marked out of the game by two or three players, yet still there is noone free in midfield to take the ball forward... How is that possible when it's 10 v 10 in the outfield?

And Uruguay are still able to press the South African defenders.

I sense that Uruguay'll turn the screws after the break

They're pretty sound and are used to this do-or-die stuff under hostile conditions; throw in a cacophonous din of uvularvulvae, and it's still old hat to them

Interesting to see just how quickly a "wonder strike" turns into a deflected shot.
