England V Germany predictions

I will probably change my mind every hour from now until Sunday afternoon but at present, riding on a wave of optimism after qualifying, I will say England to win after extra time.

Something tells me that this is going to be settled in normal time.

I'll go for an England win, but it really could go either way.

6/6 for Eng-er-land so far.

I think we're going to sneak a 1-0, squeaky-bum fashion, Jimmy Greaves to get the winner with 25 minutes left, and John Terry to volley one on to his own crossbar in the last minute.

Hoop Blah it really could go either way.

Corking insight.

Despite the tag that the Germans are carrying this year of being inexperienced and below par, they've shown some excellent ability. I know we'll raise our game and all the other associated clichés, but I think the Germans will have enough about them to see them through. 1 or 2-0 in normal time.

im wavering between a comfy 3-1 win, and an edgy but ultimately satisfying win on penaltys

& i simply will not entertain the idea that we may lose

damnit

Neither team especially convincing in front of goal, neither team especially threatened at the back, so far. For me the Germans play the better, more effective football in the middle of the park, so will have more possession. With Klose back a little pressure is off Podolski to be the goalscorer.

I think it'll be a tight 2-1 to Germany in normal time. We'll have a goal disallowed and few clear chances. The Germans will have a lot of chances and do just enough by sticking a couple of them away.

Tough to call but will go 2-1 Germany as they win in normal time...but there is nothing in this so I won't be surprised whoever wins but I think it will be settled after 90.

England to win on penalties simply because they've never done it before and there has to be a first time... obviously once the game has started I'll expect Germany to win but for now optimism reigns

Goals scored when Klose on pitch >>>> Goals scored when Klose not on pitch.

I will be completely oxf*rd by 11am

And Germany to win in 90. Sure, we have not lost yet playing with only 9 players on the pitch. The key is Ozil or whatever his name is.

England to go 1-0 up, Germany to equalise, England to win it early on in extra time.

Goal scorers Rooney, Terry and Klose

German coach to wear some truly ghastly outfit consisting of a polo neck jumper and a cardigan and Capello to wear a suit. As for the match, mmmm, could go either way.

Gone for an England win in 90 minutes.

2-1.

Klose to score first half.
Rooney equalises on the hour.
Crouch on as a sub nods in the winner 8 minutes from time.

Please.
