John Madejski's Wallet I dislike A.Cole with a passion, but even I admit he was head-and-shoulders above every other player

Hoop Blah I'd love for some form of explanation and reasoning behind why Gerrard was so poor from those who've belittled his contribution.
The reason Cole has been one of our best, if not the best, player at the last two World Cups is because he's a genuinely world class left back who knows what he's doing.

...and was fresh as he had just returned from a long term injury.

Heskey doesn't get in the 'Villa side, so why wasn't he equally as impressive seeing as he was 'fresh' too?

Hoop Blah Heskey did pretty much all that was expected of him when he played. Yes he missed his one on one chance (no surprise the though) but generallly he played pretty well. With Rooney not looking like a goal threat we couldn't then play Heskey because he just doesn't score enough.
