how painful will it be if 'arrys boys......

by frimmers3 » 10 Jul 2010 21:22

triumph in europe next season..and stake a claim to a top four finish by right, using a core of english players :a base he is passionate about expanding:perhaps naive by the poster, but if he gets it right it could be the genuine way forward for the game at both domestic and international stages....there again i live in a cardboard box, deal drugs and hate the english so what do i know...?.tried to p.m spacey to determine whether he had a point or not...

Nothing like pre-season time for wild, blind optimism!!

How about the Shots? FA Cup Semi Final place and win the 4th Division by 20 clear points?

Then he'll get the England job, players will leave and Spurs will slump as City take their place.

frimmers3 triumph in europe next season.

They may well win the second leg of their CL qualifier, sadly the damage will have been done in the first match. I guess they might qualify for the Europa league knockout stages, painful indeed

Ok, you carry on looking like a 6 year old child with your grammar then. You certainly act like one most of the time anyway.

i stand corrected. you are of course right. bilge,if rendered according to linguistic convention, will always triumph over original thought and conventions,no matter how ground breaking it may be.

FWIW I don't think Spurs will get very far in the competition.
It does appear that they are about to spend quite a bit of money and they may well attract better players because of making it to the qualifying stage but as I see it you need to go a very long way in the competition to make real money.
IIRC an estimate of the winner's reward is about £16 million.
In the current climate that is one decent player plus a year's wages.
If Spurs do go out in the early stages and don't qualify next season then with their rather small home attendance capacity plus a big squad on good wages (they must pay well or that greedy little scumbag Defoe would have left by now)the financial position would start to look dodgy.

It is a gamble that the fans, like all of us fans, would like the club to take but I fear that it will be fun for a few games in the autumn and then Spurs will finish 5th or 6th next season in the league and back to the Europa Cup.
Defoe will then look for a transfer because (in his opinion)if he had played from the start in South Africa England would have won the World Cup ergo if he had better players around him than at Spurs he would have won the European Champs league.
Good Luck to them but with the dream pairing of Dawson and King that shipped 4 goals at Bolton (or was it Blackburn?) at the end of last season they may not turn out to be as good as they think they are-just like England.

Got nothing against Spurs, some of my best friends are fans, and if they do well with English players, great. However I can't stand 'arry- I truly hope the CPS can prove he was stealing from us and he goes down.
Grubby little man, typifies everything I despise in men and football.

Ha! Mr Mad's reward will be one borne from restrained cloth cutting pragmatism and book balancing ; he sensibly leaves the wide eyed fanatical optimism to the likes of you and me! Play offs will be an achievement for our boys next season. I wish the Shots and their manager all the best for 2010-11.
