I think this is a massive mistake for Blackpool.

They needed a good chance to get off to a decent start - now they've got a tricky one to start then a trip to the Emirates. They'll be bottom before Fulham arrive at Bloomfield Road. To be followed by trips to Newcastle and then ......... Stamford Bridge.

Sadly, it looks like a few quid is sooooooo important.

I'm not sure the odd result here or there is going to matter much. Getting off to 'a good start' isn't going to have much if they are going to Newcastle and Chelsea in the first two weeks.

Better for the club and the fans to start their home season in a completed stadium.

If anything I think this is probably a benefit to both sides. There's a better chance of 3 points for Wigan at home to get them off to a winning start while Blackpool have 1 more home game than all the relegation candidates come the end of the season. Like Burnley, Stoke etc in previous seasons they'll take points at home.

Agreed. Doesn't matter in the slightest. You've got to play teams home and away anyway. It's unknown what form teams will be in throughout the season, so deffo doesn't matter.
