Having now seen the new home shirt up close I can honestly say the stupidity of the design of the blue "hoops" is as stupid as the design of the sailors collar was last year. It ruins the shirt.

I do like the away shirt though but it would be far better with black socks.

I saw a bloke wearing the new shirt at the weekend.
It looks cheap and nasty. The analogy with the "lookie lookie" merchandise stands up.
QPR's kit is better than ours. Again.
I'm out.

If you want to show your colours, buy one of the retro shirts from the megastore - always wondered why they don't re-produce the kits from the 78/79 and 93/94 (both home along with red and yellow number) once more. Both from promotion winning seasons...

again, this goes back to the poor marketing of the club. Retro shirts would be a big seller, unfortunately when they attempted it, they didn't quite pull it off.

Oddly I saw someone today walking round town in the new Partick Thistle shirt (pictured somewhere else, can't be bothered to find it) it looks ok apart from the effect strips through the middle of the hoops. Oh and the hoops go all the way round on their shirt too!

Also for those wondering if the plain back rule applies...it doesn't! Sunderland and Yeovil both have traditional kits this season with either their stripes or hoops on the full shirt.

Irvinchangeyaname I can see why they didn't get Griffin to do the modelling of the new kit.

I wonder if it'd be possible to colour in some of the white bits in the hoops with a blue marker pen?

You've just called it a jersey, which probably says something about your taste in clothing.

Shirt arrived today, very pleased we have actual embroidered crests this year rather than the stick on transfers we've had in recent years.

Love the white hoop along the bottom of the back too, clearly reminiscing the 2005/06 shirt
