Mr D Kitson

by The Prisoner » 23 Aug 2010 00:22

Stiffed out at Stoke and now talking randomness about iPods and such like ..... http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/foot ... 58119.html

Great player for us in his day (I'll overlook the loan) and always came out with sensible crap.....

Actually I'd drive to Stoke to take him back.

I'd walk and let him ride me like a wild stallion back down the M6.

For all the talk he came out with about how much smarter he was than his fellow pros.

Not really been too smart throwing away your career is it?

Had the talent, not the head.

He'll see out his Stoke deal and retire. Good luck too him, could have been so much more though.

You've said this just as he's linked with QPR.

Been Linked with loads of teams. Still doesn't change the fact he shuld be a Prem player and he has no one to blame but himself. Fair enough Pulis is an utter pcunt, but keep ur head down and get on with it. Don't act like such a dick that no one on the Prem will touch him.

Plus Kits + Colin is only gonna end one way.

Unfortunately, you might be right. Colin's really screwing the right bits together down there. :(

I'd welcome him, he rates quite highly with me, courtesy of the 'do you not know who i am' drink driving story.

To be fair to Kitson I've never got the impression that he's all that fussed about 'making it' (whatever that means). He's been pretty adament throughout his career that he doesn't like most footballers and the state of the current game.

His problem is that he is an intelligent human being with a sense of perspective that I suspect come from having lived in the real world rather than the Premier League bubble.

Remember seeing him interviewed on more than one occasion and saying he was going to retire from the game when he reached 30. He passed that landmark earlier this year, so maybe he's just forgotten about it.

Given the amount of football he's played recently, I thought he had retired.

Reckon some people might disagree with that

Quite. A semi-posh accent and an articulate way of whingeing would make you look right at home on Hob Nob, but doesn't make you intelligent. What did he do for a living before he became a professional footballer again?

Exactly. I would say it was the mans severe lack of intelligence that is his problem.

Shelf stacker to footballer with a bit of drink driving thrown in for good measure. LOL

I'd be surprised if someone who so openly despairs at the state of the game would join a club that epitomises the depths to which the game has sunk.

Actually, I wouldn't.

According to the E-Po we had a sell-on clause on him when he went to Stoke.

Some of these touted moves include player swaps. This would bring the cash swapping hands down. Would we therefore get less of the sell-on clause, or do the F.A look at the whole deal and what it's worth before working out our share?
