LoyalRoyalFan Trying to get the point across that we don't have many good strikers at the moment. We need to take a gamble on someone.

Why would you complain about someone being shit and then demand that we should try someone shitter? If that's a gamble to you then I wish I was your bookie.

Take Rooney out of the question and maybe even Defoe and our strikers look light.

The top teams have options up front. We don't.

Can you stop posting non-sequiturs that you've heard your mates say down the pub and actually make a sensible suggestion?

You've complained that Heskey went to the WC then suggested that Kevin Davies and Cameron Jerome should get a go. I don't get it.

Kevin Davies is a sensible suggestion.

You also agree with everything SDR says, so there are all ready huge doubts about your mind set.

Surely he sticks with this team and formation and no room for Frank Lampard? For me that would be a disaster seeing him comeback in and not deserved. Now Milner is suspended I would hate for Capello to juggle it around to fit Frank in or play Gerrard wide left.

Adam Johnson should get a start there, IMO.

Credit where credit is due - England were dominant tonight and easily deserved the win.

I'll expand - England were back to their qualification best and frankly made a difficult away trip look like a stroll in the park. Very impressive and I honestly think we could've won by even more.

Where was this in the World Cup?

Pace the obvious difference. You look at Gerrard breaking from midfield for Johnson's goal, and wonder why, when Lampard does that all the time for Chelsea, he can't be arsed to heave his fat arse towards the box for England. Walcott and the two Johnsons caused all sorts of problems going forward, even SWP, who remembered pace is his only real asset.

Of everyone, I thought Barry looked a yard off it, but perhaps he was just playing the anchor role very well.

Jagielka and Lescott did well too, especially the former who looks right at home at this level, albeit against lesser sides.

'greed about Lampard. If that bloke gets in the England team again, then Cappello could lose the faith of quite alot of the England fans. We've shown in the past 2 games that without him in there we play with fluidity, and pace - something which didn't happend because of his little give and go's with JT.

cmonurz Hart, Lescott, Barry, Milner, Johnson, SWP. Six Man City players on the pitch at the end of the game.

It's almost as if they went out and bought a bunch of highly rated young English players.

I thought that was another decent performance, although it was a little concerning how we fell asleep for a couple of periods and let them back into it.

It's great to see Gerrard let off his leash a bit and not hampered by trying to squeeze him and Lampard into the same midfield. It's also interesting to see how we do with proper wide players on the pitch as well. We just need to get this side comfortable and defensively strong enough that they can do a bit better against the top sides and having the spirit and bottle to get by in a tournament.

Moving in the right direction, but then we usually are at this stage of qualifying.

Absolutely. Lampard should only be on the bench in future (unless Gerrard is unvailable for selection). Let's just hope that Capello bows to the pressure of what the fans and most pundits have been saying for years about playing the two of them after all its a winning TEAM you're trying to build not a showcase for so called individuals.

Next question he has to answer is whether to return Terry & Ferdinand to the side....

Finally, we could do with finding a star goalscorer from somewhere.

Can you really leave the best English goalscoring and assists midfielder out of the team? Barry must give way IMO.

Ferdinand yes, Terry no.

In fact Terry should not even get in the squad again. I firmly believe he has far too much influence when he is in the squad and has "control" of too many players.
