It's everything to do with STAR though, bout time they challenged the club on this fresh matter ahead of a new season

It's only Y25 which has standing these days isn't it?

LoyalRoyalFan The club needs to be challenged on this policy.

The club cannot have a policy on this

It is the law, the council enforce it through the ground safetly certificate

STAR will align themselves to the FSF stance which I believe is to put pressure on the government to review the allow and allow safe standing areas

How on earth is standing guna lead to a major incident you still have a seat allocated for a safe area to stand. Surely if you cant stand during the game then shouldnt the same rules apply during half time and before the game. Why is it permitted safe to stand at music concerts but not football grounds even in the same arenas.

What about freedom of speech? If people want to raise topics that have been raised on numerous occasions previously I defend their right to do so.... even if it bores the pants of the rest of us.

Special rules for footie fans, just like not being allowed alcohol at your seat but you are for rugby and concerts at the stadium

not saying I agree with the law, but it is the law. the club can't have a policy on it.

If you want it changed, talk to your MP. All the arguements you use are arguements the FSF use when they promote their "safe standing" proposals.

good point well made, and it does mean that the top 3 threads on this section are basically the same topic now.

which suggests the only club policy we have to moan about at the moment is if we are allowed to stand up or not, something the club can't really have a policy on as it is outside their control.

Things can't be too bad at the moment then!
