prostak O good, Manchester will host those most gracious of guests from the north again. Hopefully they'll be just as keen to make a good impression as last time.

Rangers in Manchester

Was there 100 odd arrests out of 120,000+?

Yeh, mainly cos the cretins following your team decided to hurl bottles at the big screen (and each other, hilariously) when it failed. Cos that'll make it work again.

Incidentally, I find both of the Old Firm an embarrassment - the very definition of two bald men fighting over a comb. God knows how Scotland's coefficient has remained high enough to retain two Champions League places for this long.

I see you follow a communist army team, too. Interesting choice - I'd have thought Arkan's team were more your thing...

soggy biscuit
TBM Its been handed to Arsenal there

Braga look like they won't be rolled over

Absolutely love the latter club's ground and am looking forward to seeing plenty of it from here into December

Arsenal always get the cake draw for the group stage, or at least they've done ever since I started paying attention, so no surprise there

BTW did anybody watch much at all of the play-"orff" round, in particular the second legs this Tuesday/Wednesday with everything from a who-needs-what perspective in sharp focus?

I found the general standard of play shocking and woefully short of what one in all reasonableness would expect at this level of competition

Europa League draw now taking place - the competition is so bloated there is a Group L!

Man City have been drawn with Juventus, Salzburg and Poznan. Toughy for Liverpool with Steaua Bucharest, Napoli and FC Utrecht.

Are Europa League games exclusively played on a Thursday night?

Would love to go over to Brugge vs Dinamo Zagreb

On a similar note, Liverpool vs Napoli isn't too far from me.

Last time City were in the UEFA cup, the game vs Hamburg was £10 tickets. City vs Juve might be a struggle but I reckon I could get tickets.

Any idea how easy it'd be to get tickets for the away end? I don't trust the Polish postal network to get them to me before October 21st...

If you fancy it, AP and I were talking about going to the Juve game. If you can stomach a home end ticket, then I think it would be easily sorted.

But I can also chase up away end tickets. The GF is a Juve fan so I may have a look.

EDIT: turns out I'm away for the Juve H game but Poznan at City is 21st October. That gives me plenty of time to look - AP you fancy it?

I'd definitely want away end tickets for Lech, if you're able to sort these things...
