I'd rather have Antonio and MacAnuff on the wings and Kebe in the middle, behind the strikers.

+1
Kebe's practically a striker anyway so I'd even play him up front

roadrunner
PEARCEY Has Pearce been at fault for the goals or is this HNA prejudice showing through?

I think it's best all round if you just concentrate on the game and get the oxf*rd off the internet.

 I can't get coverage to Reading games on the radio where I live so being on here and SSN are my best sources of how the game is going when I don't go to the match.

Royalee Remind me, how did Swansea get on today?

taking on board that a large number (but admittedly not all) of the squad, are what Martinez pulled together during his tenure..and I think that those players are more in line with the type of football Rodgers wants to play, so an easier job to apply his footballing "philosophies" - whereas at Reading, it was a total new start with players going out and new ones arriving - so we will never know what time would have done ...

..but fair play to what hes done at Swansea...maybe we may look back and say what if??..who knows...

Its very early to see Rodgers is doing well at Swansea. I think they have lost as many as they have won.

Brilliant goal from Kebe. Pearce was turned like a tank for first goal. That's his lot for awhile now and excuse McDermott needs to dump him. Howard has been poor for me last few games so delighted we can try something different in there and hopefully Antonio. Feds could do nothing abot first goal but should of kept out second. Mills outmuscled for Wheater goal.

Two wins from next two games and we will be in top six again.

Players hitch hiking back?

4 wins at home, 3 defeats away. This time last season his side couldn't win at home.....and rarely won away. Tbh, he has inherited a good side who have been on the up and up for the past 3 or 4 seasons so he'd do well to fail as badly there as he did here. McD has inherited a teamthe slide who look well set to finish in a lower position than the previous campaign for the fourth season running.

Yep, everything was at Swansea and no real financial contraints like Reading had. He actually had to manage here and was a complete disaster. Swansea just needed a half decent forward and he looks to have found it in Sinclair. As floyd rightly says, he'd do extremely well to fail at Swansea.

Fair enough Floydey babe...we may well finish in a lower position than last season so the downward slide will contine but its still early days. For anyone to want McDermott out at this stage is just utterly absurd. The chairman is another matter altogether. Its only my view but he's been owner for a long time now and I think a change in ownership may reinvigorate the club. It could also be disastrous but I think change is needed.
I still feel sorry for McDermott. He has been given next to nothing to try and mould a team of his own.

How do we magically get these players fit and then keep them fit?

To be competitive in this league you still need to have competition and cover that's up to the job. We're still not there if you ask me.

If, that seems to be a big if at the moment, we want to seriously challenge for the top 6 then we still need to add to the squad.

If we're saying Antonio is a starting XI player then it just shows how short we are.

Antonio not had a chance yet, and was a revelation for Saints last year. Gylfi had to start somewhere.
