Following the winning team to Wembley, so if the beavers win, go to their next game, and if they lose, go to the winning teams next game etc..

Which is exactly what I did last season, starting at Egham and ending up at Wembley for the Semi, unfortunately missed out on the final due to travelling home from a family berevement in Wales

Are you guaranteed tickets in the latter stages if you've flogged it to the likes of Egham in the early rounds?

How do you guarantee tickets for the bigger games though or is it just a case of being lucky!?

I guess you get lucky, or, having been to the previous game, you might get preferential treatment with your ticket stub.

We wrote to the club (Staines) at the time they played Millwall at home and they were more than willing to help us out. For the semi managed to tout some tickets at face value

In Tredder's case, possibly going to Romford V Hampton & Richmond and then sacking it.

So far, on the Road to Wembley, I have seen Camberley 2-1 Petersfield in the Extra Preliminary Round, Binfield 5-1 Camberley in the Preliminary Round and Burnham 2-1 Colney Heath. Missed out on Binfield v Margat as I wanted to somewhere different. Haven't decided on the 2nd Qualifying Round game yet.

I've only once consciously tried a 'Road To Wembley' sequence - looking back through my records  I see I made a half @rsed attempt in 92/93 season.

However mine was much more of a hopscotch than a road - in that I just picked a local-ish tie at each stage - taking games at: Fleet, Burnham (at Stag Meadow??) , Salisbury City (at their old Victoria Pk ground), Chertsey, Ashford (Kent), Dorking, Marlow: before RFC got involved and after their sorry exit in Round Three I gave up.

So I only managed to get from the Preliminary Round (didn't have an 'Extra Prelim' in those days) to a Round 3 Proper replay before I 'foundered' - following our 1-1 @ Maine Rd and the 0-4 replay where Niall Quinn 'nobbled' Adi Williams at EP early on.

So in fact it could only have been a maximum of 10 ties I witnessed (incl. 2 replays.)
Strangely enough I can't remember seeing RFCs 3-0 Home win over Orient in Round 2 - could be I didn't go at all and may have been @ Bracknell's league game that PM instead?
NOR so it seems, could I possibly have gone to the Round 1 1-0 Home win vs Brum  cos I appear to have been @ Marlow 3-3 Salisbury City that PM??

... and I'm finding all that really difficult to comprehend, as I didn't think I'd missed more than a handful of Home games since about '78.

... the early 90s were quite a hazy bit of my past. :?

Since then RFC always seem to have had home matches that fall on one or other of the earlier FAC rounds - so as you can see I really am still a bit of an NL 'part-timer' . :P

Weren't both our 1st and 2nd round games live on Sky that season? The Leyton Orient game only because the match they were going to show was called off or something?

That was the City replay I think - Sky also started doing a half arsed Road to Wembley that year too.

.... hmmmm - good thinking - maybe - though I think the hazy memory option is more likely!!

.. certainly my Official FA Yearbook - doesn't show our ties in R1 or R2 as being on different dates/times - don't suppose they were up on acknowledging Sky's existence much back that far either?
However the 'rot' had set in - and wasn't 92/3 was the first year of BOTH S-Fs @ Wembley - (post-Hillsborough) ?
