Impatient Scrotes at full time causing Broken seats

by bigmike » 27 Sep 2010 18:45

Does anyone know if the club check the state of the seats during the week ?

On Saturday some little Scrote was climbing over the seats to get out and I noticed that he stood on my seat and broke it. After I said oi ya tool you have just broken my seat and he thought it was rather funny untill I had a little word in his shell like and he soiled his pants I noticed that the seat is pretty much buggered now.

Should I mention it to the club that the seat is wrecked or should I just stand up for the next match?

Well yes. Plus you don't want them blaming you for it if it goes unreported.

Yes. Ask for the chief steward in your stand, and they'll mend it on the spot. Thats' what happened to me a few season ago after one of the rugger buggers broke my seat.

You're paying top whack to sit there, why should you put up with a sub-standard seat?

The seat in front of me got broken similarly, the owner had left but IIRC it was replaced by the next game. It was more than a couple of days though.

Alternatively find out where the scrote sits, sit there and make him squat on your broken seat.

A couple of seasons ago, we got to our seats and one was broken and had blue and white tape all round it. We spoke to a steward and they said we couldn't sit there - it was while we were in the Prem and there were no spare seats anywhere near us. So, we took the tape off and sat in it. No harm occurred. Can only assume it was a rugby supporter who broke it as it was fine when we'd left it the previous home game.

Or there might have been a very small crime committed and they had taped off the area. I hate people standing on seats, almost as much as I hate them sticking their feet on the back of my seat or letting their little anklebiters kick the back of my seat through the game.

Tbf, it is a lot quicker to climb down the seats than the stairs. It's like the hard shoulder of the stadium.

TBF for every minute quicker you get out of the stadium you're probably saving 5 minutes in traffic or bus queues.

Call them scrotes if you like, I'm sure they've been called far worse frankly, but I don't think it's crime of the century.

Stewards do stand sweeps before and after games so any broken seats should be spotted at this time.
Though sometimes they just do alternate rows because they are short staffed and want to get home.

I sit in an armchair at the games and like to smoke a pipe while reading the Daily Telegraph.

Last week I turned up only to discover that there was cat fur on my armchair.

I mentioned this to a steward and it was soon vacuumed away by a cleaner. I can't speak highly enough of the staff.

Only up to a point - if you don't get into the queus in the car park by a certain point about 5 or so minutes after the final whistle, then you won't be saving yourself much extra queueing time later.
