No Fixed Abode I thought Gerrard would definitely play considering Frank has been out injured.

Gerrard was Montenegro's best passer last night

Surely that honour goes to Barry? Almost never failed to pick out a red shirt on the pitch and at times in the stands.

Apart from playing too deep, which I assume was because Barry wasn't doing and Ferdinand didn't take control back there, I thought Gerrard played pretty well. As for his passing being poor, who was the one launch attacks and switching/spreading the play with his accurate long passes when the M'negro's where packing the defence.

I know you have this huge dislike for Gerrard, but his passing last night was fine.

Gerrard's passing was woeful. As bad as Rooney's control and ability to turn.

Even with a ski mask on it was obvious Milan's eyes were starting to water after an unfortunate slip

Mr Angry To see the Serbian players going over to their fans, making their hideous little Nationalistic signs to them and applauding them as they were rioting beggared belief. FFS, even UEFA have to act on this and ban them.

Very well organised, too - at given signal Serbians put on masks, got out cutters and proceeded to cut through the plexiglass screens.

let's see you argue this one away on Breakfast tv.

Youthful high spirits?

Maguire This England game is desperate.

Oh well, you always get one a season.

You have to give Montenegro some credit though. They were the bottom seeds in this group.

because they're about 3 years old as a country.

They finished 5th in their World Cup qualifying group. You are surely not suggesting you expected them to be top after 4 games.

No, but I've suggested on this board several times that they'd end up doing slightly better than their current ranking predicts.
