as an aside(an old hippy writes) the reference to 'boro takes me back..way back.. to another place..another time...cast adrift from a relationship i thought would last forever(and ultimately i was correct in that premise) i pitched up in darlington broke,bereft and berserk on the doorstep of my good friend ian determined to carve out a new life....we decided that the most adult approach to address my issues would be to roll a few huge spliffs and go and watch middlesbrough play west ham on a wet and wild county durham wednesday night...which we did...nothing however prepared me(despite my altered perception of reality) for the shock of after traversing the beautiful north yorkshire moors suddenly seeing billingham glowing orange in the distance as the road wound down towards ayresome park....
