What makes a player more like to score an own goal? Is it genuinely because they are always 'the last man', throwing themselves in the way of a shot at goal, or is it because, like Richard Dunne's bullet header at the weekend, they are clumsy morons?

Kitson12 Richard Dunne scored with his foot not his head. Collins was behind him, in the position to CLEAR it with his head.

cmonurz Paul Konchesky smacked the ball into Jamie Carragher on Sunday to give the latter his 8th own goal against Liverpool, which is more goals than he has scored for the club. Richard Dunne apparently has 7 own goals in his career, same as Frank SincLOLair. Rio Ferdinand has 5.

cmonurz Had a feeling my numbers weren't dead on, but MoTD definitely put Carragher in 'the lead'. I don't think either will fight for the record, tbh.
Iirc Frank Sinclair got three in four games, or something stupid, back in the day.

Maguire I saw the list on MOTD2 and it was Dunne first then Carragher.
Didn't Carraghrr manage two in one game against Man Utd once? I remember Becks raping them with crosses.

Yep - think United won that game 3-1 (at Anfield).
