England v France

What utter shit this first half is

Ferdinand and Gerrard are the only world class players we have out there. All the others are just simply average - it's gonna be a while yet before we win anything major

Awful first half. In fact, I've told the Mrs she can watch something else.

Yeah but Andy Carroll is Robin Friday reincarnated!! He is going to be England's centre forward for the foreseeable future.

Why is Andy Grffin playing for France wearing a shirt with Benzema on it ?

England should have followed Scotland's example and played a confidence boosting friendly against a local blind school or San Marino.

Has Henderson been that poor the rest of the game? I've only really noticed him playing into trouble so far...

We look rather ponderous and devoid of ideas.

Even I'd heard of Gibbs!

Mainly because people had suggested we try and get him on loan at some point admittedly.

Crouch seems to have helped. So far Warnock, Lescott, Milner and Henderson have all irritated me.

How shit must Raymond Domenech have been to make France look so bad in the World Cup?

How any manager in football could have left Nasri behind is beyond me.

'greed Tom.

tbf a team with Nasri and Malouda in midfield (surely two of the top five midfielders in the Prem) is always going to be a threat. Not to suggest that we weren't given a total chasing, because France were simply on a different planet in the first half.

I wouldn't read *too* much into it though. Henderson was poor but it's early days for him and he's done well this season. They had a £30 million pound striker up front in Benzema and we bizarrely go one up top with a guy who was playing in the Championship last season and making his international debut. Carroll was fine and did what he could but he stood no chance.

I guess my biggest concern is that we just don't have enough ball-players. So many act like they hate the ball and try to get it as far away from them as quickly as possible. Not good.

How jolean lescott is still in that team I don't know. Utter garbage player summed up by that atrocious long boll to no one he played when he had half an hour to pick a pass.

'greed with Mags. You look at our central midfielders, they get the ball and their head is up and trying to pick someone out on the wing, or over the top. The Spain and the Brazils of this world on the other hand, play neat and tidy passing in the centre of the pitch and work an opening, with other players moving and giving options. England lack the imagination and creativity to do this.

'gree that Lescott is utter toilet.
