Ian RoyalFiNeRaIn An absolute fraction of the 7 million we got for selling gylfi on top of his wages
A significant fraction. But then it's probably doubtful we've got all that money yet. We still have a transfer window to go through, and anyone who thought we'd spend more than half of it is deluded in any case.
FiNeRaIn I thought one of the reasons we sold gylfi is because they were offering it all up front, I also find it hard to believe that khiz and mikele are remotely denting that 7 millioning transfer budget + gylfi's wages, you won't convince me otherwise. Even then, thats not taking into account the previous outgoings which surpass 20 million.

FiNeRaIn Sorry, I'm not believing this imaginary debt malarky over shortfalls, etc Sounds like excuses to me. Other clubs have had absolutely nowhere near the income we have had in the last 4/5 years, yet appear to be in a far better financial position. It doesn't add up im afraid.

Negative_Jeff As for the pathetic booing of Marlon King, the bloke is entitled to earn a living. Try throwing bananas instead, I think he is a good player.

howser A lot of "madman slating" nowadays on these threads, and probably well earnt, this January is going to show just how much ambition Madejski has to get us back up.
The Championship is very topsy turvy with so few points separating success from failure. We are holding our own, just, and the intriduction of someone who can convert the chances, and there a plenty in each game so far this season, would see us pushing upwards towards the top six and play-off contention................but does Madejski seriously want this, I for one have never been convinced by his continuous pre-season "deteremined to get back to the premiership" waffle.
So we will see, gut fealing says we will get rid of some, bringing money in and have to suffer the normal, "we tried to get somebody but it wasnt possible, so we will go with what we have got"

RobRoyal On another tack: has anyone else heard our current run of draws described as a "record"? I'm sure that's what they said on the Football League Show.
But we drew 6 in a row at the end of the 2001/2002 season
