The similarity in looks and playing style to Andy Griffin has been commented upon (as has the similarity to Peter Griffin in physique).

In my youth, Clive Walker (without the sex offences).

In my young manhood, Kevin Sheedy.

In my middle age, Jon Keen.

Timmy Howard w/the right leg of Ray Guy

The latter attribute came in well handy, as it afforded my side just about the only guaranteed respite over the course of a given match (a typical outcome of which was 3-0 to the other guys and yours truLOLy earning unofficial MotM laurels with about 85 saves  )

Even uni boys on athletic scholarship hanging around waiting for the end of our matches played on their pitch were well impressed, or so I was inform'd

From Despair To Where? As a youngster, a striker very much in the Robbie Fowler mode, could score for fun. As I got older, I evolved into a Stuart Pearce style scything left back but as I approach my middle age, Neville Southall is more my style if only for my wasteline, if not my goalkeeping ability,

Also started as a striker and later became a left-back. Bit of a Teddy Sheringham sort of striker, got as many assists as I did goals.

Not sure about a comparison as a left-back, there aren't many tall and lanky full-backs with no pace around, I could tackle a bit though.

No, about 8. Hence becoming a left-back.

Midfield dynamo to begin with. Lots of running around and tackling but not much else. As I grew older and less fit I became a right back.

In all honesty, I always really wanted to be John Lever.

Modelled myself on Pat Jennings but with smaller hands.

In reality I played more like Simon Sheppard but was probably marginally better.

I try to play with a mix between Gerrard/Fabregas and Sigurdsson... I can run around all day, play the nice dinks or through balls and have a good left foot from range. Obviously my style and self belief may be slightly exaggerated...
