TBM It should be a Premier League rule that a team has to have undersoil heating when they reach the premier league.
3 games Blackpool have had called off now and haven't played a home game for a month - not a very good advert for them or their sponsors.

So how long until a team is denied promotion to the PL because they don't meet whatever criteria the PL set to keep the riff-raff teams out of their executive club? It's the slippery slope to a closed top tiers once you start allowing such regulations to dictate who can and who can't be promoted.

Stranded It's not that simple though, in Blackpool's case they had some major work to do to the stands, change floodlights and other infrastructure so had to forgo the undersoil heating this season. They have pencilled in to do next summer if they stay up.
Plenty of other grounds have seen games called off even with undersoil heating in the past couple of weeks due to the extreme weather.

You may joke but their TV money could well state they install it - especially when they are left without a fixture to show.

I've heard the Emirates described as the most soilless stadium in England, so maybe they don't need undersoil heating.
