Can't decide whether I like him - on the one hand he's such an exceptional player, so skilful and has the Gylfi "something from nothing" trait. And he's only 21...

But at the same time, there must be a reason Tottenham got rid of him (Wiki says for £600k, 6 months after they wanted £4m for him  ). Possibly arrogance - his comments over signing for Tottenham smack of throwing toys out of the pram:

In March 2010, Taarabt was quoted in an interview as being sorry that he signed for Tottenham. He had said "The big mistake was to sign for Tottenham and not go to another club when I first came over". He stated that he wished he had signed for Arsenal instead but had opted for Spurs after Damien Comolli moved from being a scout at Arsenal to director of football at Spurs. He stated that he felt he would have been given more chances to play at Arsenal and was advised at the time not to sign for Spurs by his friends Armand Traore and Abou Diaby, who play for Arsenal.
Taarabt went on to state his intention to sign for one of the top clubs in Spain "I hope to be playing for one of the top four in Spain next season — Real Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia or Sevilla. I have contact with good teams and I know that they want me. Now I just have to hope they can agree a deal with Tottenham."

In conclusion, not sure I'd want him at Reading because he doesn't seem a typical Reading player, too much of an ego, but you can't doubt his ability.

He's one of those frustrating players in that he can be anonymous for 89 minutes and 30 seconds but produce a match-winning moment of magic.

Is his team mate Jamie Mackie going to grow up to look like Graeme Murty?

Flying what? Flying mid-air leap like he did when he was fouled in the box yesterday? Yes, it was a foul, but there's no need for such an ostentatious dive.

Bellamy at a stretch?

But yes, I agree, QPR wouldn't be anywhere near the points total they have atm if Taarabt wasn't in their team.

Someone who can get past 3 or 4 players but can't see the better ball isn't the best player.

Sigurdsson and Long had their fair share last and this season

There's going down after a foul and there's doing an over-the-top dive that involves jumping up and hitting the ground head-first.

So who would you say is the best player in the championship?

Someone who doesn't try to do everything himself. In fact Shane Long falls into that category.

Taarabt is by far the most skilful player in the division, without question. Yes he's greedy but the fact that he would walk into any other side in the Championship says it all.

Would love to break his legs though the diving c*nt. That's the one thing that annoys me about him - He's got so much ability and can beat any defender he likes so why does he feel the need to dive like he's just been snipered?? T*sser. Reminds me of Ronaldo in that aspect - Simply no need to dive when you have bags of talent like they do.
