Best ENGLISH manager

Only including those managers who currently have a job (to save on the predictable Sir Steve rush).

Therefore the list above comprises those currently managing in the Premiership and top 7 of the Championship (11 clubs out of 27).

He maybe Scottish and not English, but what Owen Coyle has done at Bolton is nothing short of spectacular. The way he's turned them into a footballing side instead of playing hoofball tactics. Credit where its due.

He maybe French and not English, but what Arsene Wenger has done at Arsenal is nothing short of spectacular. The way he's turned them into a footballing side instead of playing defensive tactics. Credit where its due.

He may have been a player and not managed anyone yet and also not English but what Zidane did at Juventus & Real Madrid has to be admired

For me it's got to be Roy Hodgson, anyone who doesn't vote for him seemingly is being blinded by his current plight at Liverpool. Hodgson has actually not only been a relative success at home but also abroad, and has won trophies overseas, something not many English managers can claim to have done. Given the time I am fairly certain he will be a success at Liverpool. Unfortunately I can't see him being given that time.

Hodgson > Redknapp IMO. Close, but Redknapp's lack of trophies (one FA Cup?) and all-round credibility swing it in Hodgson's favour.

His management jobs just make me think he is a man more interested in wandering the earth.

Hastings United
Maidstone United
Malmö FF
Ethnikos Piraeus
Bristol City
Toronto Blizzard
Al-Ittihad
Örgryte IS
Malmö FF
Al-Ittihad
FC Zürich
Colorado Rapids
China
Shanghai Pudong
Sichuan Quanxing
Zhejiang Greentown
Uzbekistan
Changsha Ginde
India

In between some of these he also managed club sides in those countries.

Shame he was robbed of a place in the 2006 World Cup

At the moment it's Harry without question. Taking Spurs from what was seen as a crisis at the wrong end of the table to winning their group in the Champions League. Should be given the England job but as he won't be an arse licking yes man I'm not sure him and the FA will have the greatest relationship.
Hodgson built a good side at Fulham and found his level, but needs a pair of arm bands because the water's a bit too deep for him at Liverpool I feel.

It's not just Liverpool though is it.....failed miserably at Blackburn as well.

Redknapp without question for me. Never had a really top club with which it would be easy to win trophies, but has done wonders with Tottenham, who are the most entertaining team to watch in the country by a quite a margin atm.
