Straight red for Gerrard for lunging in.

For me it's slightly harsh but he's got two feet off the ground and these days that gets you red.

Sending off right decision, earlier Pen wrong decision.

Can't be bothered to watch this match anymore though, well over.

Can you be bothered to argue with me? You've got both those comments wrong.

I can't be bothered, because you are wrong on both counts.

Can't see where Berbatov was fouled in any of the replays, and Gerrard lunged in off the ground two feet with studs up... doesn't get much more straightforward than that.

Watching Gerrard in midweek and today, does anyone think he can be bothered?

i would have thought on his money he could at least afford a decent haircut.

An absolute shambles, but then shame on me for arranging to be in front of a TeeVee at the appointed hour as if I didn't know better

And Rafael had his two feet off the ground as well only moments earlier. What's the difference?

I reckon that the Rafael challenge is more dangerous (potentially) that Gerrard's but more often than not, referees punish the outcome of a tackle than the tackle itself.

Gerrard was Horizontal making the challenge, Rafael was Vertical.

Webb was further away, Rafael's was much less obvious and caused no damage. Probably should have been red though.

He was going through the ball direct at the player, two footed with a mini jump. Definitely dangerous. Gunnarsson has been sent off for similar.

No he wasn't. Gunnarson was much more vertical and he had little control. Rafael was in control and able to run after the ball straight after the challenge.
