Apparently, Babel has been charged by the FA for tweeting a picture of Webb in a Man Utd shirt.

Ian Royal
leww_rfc Rafael basically did a hop like he was about to step in doggy doo doo, imo nothing wrong with it.
Rafael's could've been bad i admit but he didn't really dive in, in truth.

The pen? Webb should have checked with the lino who was marginally better placed to see it. But it works both ways, the Lino should have buzzed web to say there was absolute minimal contact and no pen.

The linesman's view would have been worse than Webb's.

Fcuk me...there's no "marginal" about it at all nor was the linos' position worse...watch the replay again with the camera behind the lino. He has NOTHING in front of him except the two players in question 15 yards away and a perfect view, whereas Webb is 30 yards away, with players in his eyeline. He looked over to the lino, got no help whatsoever and guessed that Berbatov hadn't dived. Guessing is no system on which to base a decision. What exactly are linos for anymore?

FWIW, if Reina's four-timer save doesn't get save of the season, I'm a Dutchman.

This is a perfect result for scouser's. Get to be the victim and it was someone else's fault. Maybe they could have another
stay away protest like those 10,000 people did last time.

I really can't remember Liverpool threatening Utd's goal. I thought there might be a giant killing on the cards but not to be

Footballers should not be allowed on Twitter etc....it confirms that most of them are the kants we expect them to be.

Ian Royal really? Do the rules say it's a penalty if there is any contact made? or is it just if the contact impedes the player - because there was no way Berbatov was impeded there.

No rules in football, it's laws, and contact was made, Berbatov took a step and then went down, you be guessing if he dived, but as a referee there was no guess in the contact. Not much difference to the Long penalty last year up at Anfield.

It seems as if people forget that football is actually a contact sport. It is not neccesarily a foul if a player touches another despite what the commenters and so called 'experts' say.

If you make contact with an opposing player, that isn't shoulder to shoulder, and without you winning the ball first then you're likely to be conceeding a free kick or a penalty.

Just as Long does pretty much every time he's challenged Berbatov made the most of minimal contact which was basically 'illegal' as Agger wasn't winning the ball with that contact. Essentially that constitutes tripping in the laws of the game even if, as with many cases, the contact made isn't sufficient to actually trip the forward.

I'd not be happy if I conceeded that penalty, but on the flip side I'd not be happy if I was the attacker and it wasn't given.

Either way Berbatov made a meal of it.

Maybe but this particular tweet confirms that Babel is exactly like the rest of us.
