Suarez deserves it more than him and isn't even nominated after scoring 60 something goals last season and saving uruguay with that brilliant save on the line to deny Ghana an injury time victory.

Not to mention Milito. When your former club join the outrage at your omission, France Football have probably made an oversight. Especially if you didn't actually play for that club during the relevant period.

Argentina, Ireland & Denmark (amongst others) have lodged complaints with FIFA as they were not asked for their nominations.

Saw a blog suggesting that under the old rules, before the merger, Sneijder would have won. Messi would have still won the FIFA award, but the Dutchman got more votes from journalists.
