Macclesfield Town have announced midfielder Richard Butcher has died at the age of 29.

Jesus, makes it a slightly more personal considering I'm due to turn 29 in April. Reinforces just how mortal we all are.

A very sad piece of news.

Scored the opener in their draw with Bury on New Years' Day, dead a week later. Horrendous.
