* Allowing Jermain Defoe to score a rebound from a penalty at White Hart Lane despite being a mere two feet behind the level of the ball when the kick was taken.
* Sending off Matt Mills for a 50/50 challenge at Portman Road last season.
* Awarding a penalty to Wigan Athletic when the challenge was clearly outside the area, only to overrule the decision and award a free kick after correct advice from his Assistant.
Deliberately missed out one particular incident. I'm watching Football League highlights online and get to Aldershot Town v Crewe Alexandra. 90 minutes are up, a through ball, Crewe keeper comes rushing out and steams into the Aldershot forward taking man and ball. Not only a free kick, but a red card. Now, when the Refwatch thread was posted prior to Ipswich Town v Reading last season and noticed the referee was one Keith Stroud, I stated this:
handbags_harris Preston - failed to even award a free kick to Reading after Carlo Nash had gone in dangerously on Kitson, leading to Kitson leaving the pitch with concussion. Any other player on the pitch goes in like that they get sent off. I cannot, and never will, get my head around that one and how he deemed it acceptable play.
I trust paultheroyal will be attracted to this thread like flies are to sh*t (no comparison paul
