prostak Has it been mentioned on this thread yet that Gray is suing the NotW? That might have had some bearing on this...

Blatently. He deserves to go in my opinion, but the whole thing stinks of a set-up.

DelBoyRodders Why the oxf*rd has Andy Burton been suspended?

I really have no idea. Think SkySports are in full-on panic mode.

But anyway. TICK A BOO! :D

Burton is such a snake that he was probably part of the set up.

It strikes me that he'd done something else or a series of somthings else but behind the scenes.

This was public.

Guardian must be well confused. Suing News International = YAY, works for News International = HMMM, sexist = Booo

Get phone hacking in there and that's 2-1 for the yays.

Has "Steve the cameraman" been sacked yet? And where are the banning orders for every bloke in the Stadium who thought the exact same thing? It's a disgrace!!!

It's pretty self explanatory really.

They've bottled under the PC pressure of self-righteous cretins in the media, and of course the lovely feminist movement, and sacked a guy who has given them 20 years of loyal service for something that every bloke has done quite a few times in their life.

They'll regret it as soon as they realise that Alan Smith is now their no.1 pundit.

Can't wait for the moment when a female presenter says something off-air or on-air to a male colleague or interviewee of a comparable sexist nature.
Maybe Sue Barker when swooning over David Ginola or
Hazel Irvine referring to Linford's lunch-box or
Gabbi Logan getting excited about rugby players in the showers and how very dare any of them confess to ever having watched The Chippendales.

I think we all need to get this into perspective and remember the words of Nigel Tufnel.

What has any of that got to do with making out like women are incapable of raising a flag at an offside decision?

Why couldn't Alan Green or Stuart Hall come up with something like that. I'd so love to see the back of both those smug, opinionated bastards.

Can someone just set up a template for posters and facebookers that says

Why can't [insert least favourite football pundit's name] say something sexist?

It would make things a lot easier

Isn't it funny how if you say that a women is less able to officiate a football match than a man is, you get sacked. However, if you say that a man is less able to raise a child than a women you get to be a family judge in the high court.

Good for him.
Also digging up that incident from December that he hadn't previously been warned about is oxf*rd scandalous.
That was even more of a nothing incident.

The decision to give Andy Burton a one game ban for his comment of "she's a bit of a looker" is even more staggering. FFS, this comment was made two hours before the game and was also off the air.
WTF are the Sky bosses thinking about? Just giving into stupid public pressure, combined with a media witch-hunt.
Are we now breeding a British public that is so limp-wristed and gets offended by the most lame things?
