The Huns must be annoyed at losing the bidding for naming rights. AndyRFC, will you be boycotting this?

It's not offically called 'Celtic Cup' that's just a nickname since England aren't involved (yet). As soon as England joins in we can call it the "King Billy 1690 No Surrender Cup"

Carling Nations Cup starts next week.

Ireland v Wales on Tuesday 8th. Presumably Royals on both sides so could be interesting match.

For the record I'm rooting for Wales in this cup since my paternal Grandfather was born there (probably like half the squad TBH)

Any predictions for Ireland v Wales?

For me it's 3-1 Ireland, unfortunately for my temporarily adopted team.

Hoop Blah We won't learn to much playing the same duffers they play against week in week out. At least by playing different eastern block countries and all the rest we get to play against different types of teams with different approaches.

Because 'learning' from friendlies against Ukraine and Slovenia has really helped performances over the years :|

We should be playing - and winning - a Home International Championship held every other summer in odd-numbered non-World Cup or Euro Championship summers (not that that would be an issue for the micks, jocks and taffs  ) , but sadly it is a case of

*no homo*

The England's Best Colony Cup (TM someone on Twitter) would seem a bit silly with England playing in it as well.

Shane Long apparently not quite the finished article for his country yet, then. Is S.Hunt injured again?

Though I'd argue HRK and Church were two of Wales' better players.

They could have it every 4 years in a non Euro World cup finals year. That would keep it fresh have a group system through the season with the top two playing in a final at the end of the season? Nice idea but would never happen. It's a shame as I remember the England Scotland games were a great way to end the season.

The co-commentator was a bit damming about Church's lack of pace (something along the lines of 'I cannot believe how arsing slow he is'), HRK did little and Long missed his chance. Not a glorious night for Reading players.

not hard though was it - Wales spent the last 10 minutes passing the ball around the defence when they were 3-0 down

If I was Welsh I'd raise serious questions if I had Church and Kanu in my countries XI. Dont have any interest in this competition at all, if RoI were playing in my garden I'd shut the curtains.

I only watched the first half and HRK did several positive things, he could have been complete oxf*rd in the second half though, but he should have had a penalty. Church though was his usual self, needs to sort his head out.
