Schards#2 I've had the misfortune to meet Mike Parry and he's every bit as clueless in the flesh as he is on the radio. I don't listen to 6-0-6 but, unless the format has changed dramatically, I doubt he'll still be on air in a month as I doubt the earnest football fans who do listen will warm to his ill informed reactionary claptrap.

He's only standing in though

had my first dose of Gray & Greyer today, reasonble show but...........

Sorry, (despite my pre-concieved views of them, and Talksquawks hypocrisy), a gravelly voiced jock following another jock (Brazil, then Gray) is too much for me.

Its a NO

I got to listen to a trailer for 606 yesterday en route to London after the RFC game. Parry was bleating on about how he feels the FA Cup should be seeded in the later rounds to ensure that 2 of the big 4 meet each other in the final every season. I am quite sure that even someone as obviously moronic as Parry wouldn't believe that ripping up 140 years of history would benefit the competition, so this was basically further evidence of controversy-for-controversy's-sake sensationalist and frankly lazy broadcasting which quite frankly my licence fee shouldn't be funding.

If he's going to carry on peddling that sort of bullshit nonsense, that TalkSport specialise in, on R5L he won't last long with the BBC.

One of the many things that the FA are considering in a review to rejuvenate the FA Cup.

Personally, I think the most likely thing is losing replays altogether.

So little clubs like Orient will miss out on their pay day beacuse of the over-bloated overrated Champions League. The big clubs would rather p*ss all over 140 years of history.

I give up on football, in all honesty.

It really is getting that way. The clubs who aer potentially struggling with fitting in replays have squads big enough to cope so I really don't see what the problem is.

If Blackpool and Wolves say they have 20-odd players capable of playing in the Premiership when it suits them, and the likes of Utd have enough time on their hands to fly all over the place playing lucrative friendlies then they can fit in the odd replay should their expensive superstars (or backups) fail to knock over a minnow in the early rounds.
