Just so we can get a very rough idea - please be honest in your voting.

Yes. I've already put the money by. 2 adults 2 kids.

My mate and his son (non-nobbers) aren't though. They'll pick and choose.

Yes of course. Still great value compared with other forms of entertainment and the cost of my ST is nothing compared with my petrol costs. Will renew on 28th Feb when I get paid.

I presume you sit by yourself and won't be concerned that your friends/family who sit with you may not be able to afford to pay by end of April and, thereby, you'll be split up as someone else may get their season ticket seat.

No-one is saying that the cost of the ST is what is putting them off, just to clarify.

This early renwal business has tipped me over the edge. I won't bother.
I will still attend games, but will pick and choose.
Several times this season I just could't be arsed to go.
I agonised over attending last saturday, but went.
I won't be attending tonight.
Maybe after 40 odd years attending, I'm just too old and cynical about the professional game to enjoy it as much anymore.

We will renew as we were always going to - however I am not doing so until 27th April- they can bloody well wait until almost the last minute. Although we are only going to do 2 of the 3 niece/nephew ones as usually one of the three is doing something on match day and we end up only taking two of them

On Saturday the couple who for many years have sat alongside told me that they are not renewing and I shall miss them very much. However their reason is personal circumstances and nothing to do with the renewal policy and on the plus side if no one takes up their seats it will be easier as I wont have to move my seat when my two sons and my partner who are not ST holders want to go. I realise that it is a timing issue rather than cost that concerns you but does it really matter that much? If the club want/need the money early and they provide easy payment options I can't see a problem. Every one else around me said on Saturday that although they think its a bit of a cheek asking for renewals so early they will renew. Locally Bristol City have followed a similar pattern for several years and I suspect that in the current financial climate most clubs will.

They might be "easy payment options" but a £15 admin fee for 4 months option and 19.9% APR for 9 months is also taking the proverbial, imo.

Thats a fair point and I do agree with you entirely about the crass way in which the club has gone about it. To introduce this without warning and with no prior consultation with STAR was always going to lead to a PR disaster.

Actually, it's a 10 month option, for some reason I thought it was 9 months. But, in any case, people are still paying it off if they took that last time around.

I honestly don't know what to do. I can't afford that amount of cash in one hit but I don't want to put it on a card either. I enjoy the games when I'm there, but the cost to get there and back and the time it takes up really racks up. I'd be tempted to go and watch Aldershot Town if I knew anyone else who went, to be honest.

No
I will renew at some point and move seats for the first time.
Probably going West from North, avoiding the numpties in the East at all costs.

Two 'no's' from people here. They will pick and choose their games if they can be bothered to attend.
