Swansea 1 up against Leeds, which would be a good result for us. Swansea look insane!

Always hated the thought of one of the Welsh clubs reaching the Premiership, but I actually think it's more a Cardiff thing. Swansea I'd just be a bit meh about.

As an added incentive, Cardiff are still a huge financial risk and have thrown everything at getting promoted this season, so to see them fcuk it up and hopefully dice with administration would be tip wetting stuff.

Oh and cracking game btw.

+1 they look very very good, and haven't really got any players in their team that I hate, which is a good thing  .

Plus their playing without Pratley.

Only in a footballing sense, yes. There's the general harmless banter between the English and the Welsh clubs, but they always come across with genuine hate towards us, and yet they wouldn't have a football club worth watching if it wasn't for the English Football League. On that basis I'd hate seeing any of their teams enjoy some success at the highest level of English football.

Fair enough although I think the hate goes both ways.
Still Leeds losing today means 6th place remains up for grabs.
Royalee's going to be having a tommy tank watching this.

...lest we forget - one of them HAVE been there in (some of our) living memory? :?

The 1981/82 season began as implausibly as recent history had suggested it might. The fixture computer handed Swansea's upstarts a first-day home game against Leeds United, which Swansea promptly won 5–1 with a hat-trick by debutant Bob Latchford. Swansea had swept from the basement division to the top of the entire Football League in barely three years. Victory at Stoke City in October put Swansea in first place in the First Division for the first time, and victories over footballing royalty such as Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur followed as the club topped the league on several further occasions. Injuries to key players took their toll, and the lack of depth in the squad meant that the season ended in sixth place finish.

Thing is though, Swansea turned their team into a retirement home for ex Liverpool and Everton players. Whilst it worked for one season in Division 1, they nearly went bust and in a parallel with the Bristol City side of the same era, they slid back down the league with little more than a half built stand and a brush with liquidation to show for it. Division 4 to Division 1 and back to Division 4 in less than 10 years.
