Why do they even sing that song, don't they get that half of football laughs at them for it?

So Arsenal get 59,000 against a league one side

Man City get 25,000 against a fellow Premiership side

tbf it was the start of a religious fast last night so churchgoers/religious types may have found it difficult to attend

Nineteen Day Fast (start) (Bahai )
Ends 20 March. During this period Baha'is go without food or drink from sunrise to sunset.

Do actually know the origins of the song? It's nothing to do with having a full stadium.

Sorry to crush hours of amusement for you and your chums.

This will be a tap-in for Kes when the attendance for City v Reading is announced.

Would it reach 20,000?

NFA, just to reiterate, the history of "we're not really here" is nothing to do with having a full stadium.

It was when they we banned from a Millwall game but still sneaked into the home ends. Although it has also been claimed it was something to do with a tour to Ireland.

Either way, nothing to do with seats so please stop this boring vendetta. Maybe it's just envy that they average 5,000 a week more than Chelsea in the PL?

Sorry to upset you m8.

Your council home has a higher capacity than the Bridge, so the 5k is pretty much null and void for the PL. What I can say is, we have a full house for FA Cup games and your ground is over 20k empty of capacity.

Not a city fan at all m8. Support Ding hence being on this forum (why are you here again?).

Don't worry, I know all about Chelsea home attendances, my council home  is nearby so have to watch all your delightful fans traipsing in from Surrey, Slough and Perivale every other week.

Cringing people calling Reading, 'the ding' or 'ding'. Why? Can you please stop it. I heard bloody students saying it. Real people from here don't call it that.

I know real people from Reading who call it "The 'ding". You're just old and not down with the cool kids.

in terms of crowds and support across the country there's only a handful of REALLY big clubs

Manchester United
Arsenal
Liverpool
Newcastle

Everyone elses clubs are a bit fickle and their gates will go up and down like a whores drawers.

Quite why Kes is now acting like a Man Utd fan I'm not sure. I'm sure fans of Manchester City and Liverpool's only dislike of Chelsea is the fact they are competing with them for places inside the top 4 or 5. There is no rivalry to speak of. I suppose Manchester City are a bit like Chelsea in that they aren't anywhere near as big as their city rivals.

Quite confused to see that Leeds isn't on that list. They brough 7k to Barnsley on a Tuesday night, 6k to Cov and about 40,000 to Reading.
