Of course they could
Victor Meldrew This is Schalke who in their last two league games lost 4-1 at Bayern Munich and 1-0 at home to the mighty Kaiserslautern.
They are currently 10th of 18 in the Bundesliga so it was the equivalent of playing somebody like West Brom or Newcastle.
Not much to crow about really.
Now if they beat Barcelona 4-1 even with the advantage of playing them in England I would call that a good result.

Except West Brom and Newcastle didn't qualify for the CL.

Why do you always feel inclined to jump in and defend Man Utd every time?
The real (non-plastic) Chelsea fans that I know detest Man Utd but then you don't sound like a real fan.
